CHIN, the tribe of the latest "spider" women
In Myanmar, a centuries-old tradition, has characterized women belonging to the Chin ethnic group for tattoos, in the shape of a spider web, on the face. Applied from a very young age, it seems they were intended to make them less attractive to avoid kidnappings and keep ethnicity intact. Prohibited since the 1960s, these elderly women today represent the last evidence of a world that will soon disappear with them
