April - 2010 The first cataract of the Nile taken from the island of Sehel near Aswan. On this rocky island there are numerous inscriptions dedicated to the gods, by the expeditions sent by the pharaohs who went up or down the First Cataract of the Nile, to thank them for the good outcome of the journey.
